Day 1: 4 Day Weight Loss Challenge…Let’s Do This!

It’s Monday, April 2nd, 2018. It’s also day 1 of the 4 day weight loss challenge that I have decided to do.  This is the first step in taking back my life and taking back my control.

I’ve started the morning at 5 am, getting up and dressed, making the drive back from spending the weekend in Crossville.  On the way home I drank a bottle of water, that’s one for the day.  I’ve also weighed myself this morning.  I’m not happy, not happy at all but that is the whole purpose behind this isn’t it?

After arriving home, I did my first 20 second plank although it felt more like 20 minutes.  Being overweight puts a slight strain on a beautiful and perfect plank.  Hopefully that will get better each time.

I have also prepped my meals for breakfast and lunch for the day, 2 eggs with an apple and a 1/2 cup blueberries plus salad greens with chicken breast chunks and a low sugar low carb dressing.  My snacks will be a cucumber and an avocado.  There is about 4 more bottles of water in the waiting with this too.

After work I plan on making a dinner of 4 oz chicken breast with roasted veggie medley in the air fryer.  I’m also planning on doing to meal prep for the rest of the week while I’m at it.  There will be another attempt of a 20 second plank along with trudging on the treadmill for at least 30 minutes, more if I can make it.

I am determined to do this, I have done this before.  Age is catching up with me this time making things harder but I will keep pressing on.  It has warmed my heart that so many of you have decided to join me on this challenge.  It encourages me and holds me accountable at the same time.  Together I know we can all start getting healthier.  At the end of this 4 days my hope is that we want to continue this journey together!

  1. Mmmmm AIR FRYER CHICKEN and VEGGIES sounds like a dream!! I love my air-fryer so much – in fact, I am “frying” up some salmon in there RIGHT now! You can do this!!! I do planks for 5 minutes at a time (GASP) but what distracts me is PLAYING GAMES ON MY PHONE, LOL!
